EASY TO USE  INVALUABLE INFORMATION

The grain temperature spear is a cost effective solution for monitoring the condition of stored grain.

Many years of research has proven that temperature has a massive impact on the activity of grain storage pests, mould development and the deterioration of stored grain. The temperature spear aims to provide a simple and cost effective method of monitoring grain with a simple LCD display, sturdy build quality and battery life of over 2 years. The 1 meter long spear allows temperature readings to be taken well into the grain mass and is perfect for silos, grain bags, bunkers and bunker sheds.

The temperature targets below give a rough indication of what industry considers acceptable temperatures of stored grain at different times of the year. If stored grain is exceeding these temperatures give us a call to discuss options and how to improve the current situation:

  • Summer: 18-23oC
  • Winter: 15oC or below
